| I kept this image simple using a triangular compositional device. It is the same compostional device used in religious paintings to indicate the importance of the subject. I employed the triangle to underscore the mythic aspect to this character. He is monstrous, protean and powerful. His eyes scan the distance, while at his feet, the creatures of the air surround him. Anything that draws away from the relationship between this Bird King and his subjects has been removed from the composition. |
